Everest Jewellery – Silver Jewellery Manufacturing Process

Everest Jewellery – Silver Jewellery Manufacturing Process

Step 1 – Designing

Every masterpiece begins with an idea. At Everest Jewellery, our silver creations start with sketches that capture both timeless elegance and modern trends. Each design is carefully studied to ensure it highlights the natural shine and durability of sterling silver.

Step 2 – CAD/CAM

Our designers translate these sketches into precise digital models using CAD software. For silver jewellery, accuracy is crucial, since even the smallest detail reflects beautifully once polished. The CAM stage then prepares these designs for flawless manufacturing.

Step 3 – Model Making

From digital to tangible, resin prototypes are created and cast into sterling silver master models. These silver masters set the foundation for consistent, high-quality replication.

Step 4 – Rubber Mould

To reproduce the designs, durable rubber moulds are made from the silver master. This ensures every future piece retains the exact details, whether it’s delicate filigree or bold modern lines.

Step 5 – Waxing / Wax Tree

Using the moulds, wax replicas are formed. These wax pieces are assembled into a “wax tree,” preparing them for casting. For silver jewellery, careful placement ensures balanced casting for lightweight yet sturdy results.

Step 6 – Casting

The wax trees are encased, heated, and replaced with molten sterling silver. Precision casting is vital here, as it ensures the purity and strength of every piece while retaining its intricate details.

Step 7 – Grinding

Once cooled, the silver castings are carefully removed and ground to eliminate sprues and surface roughness. This step reveals the first glimpse of the piece’s natural silver shine.

Step 8 – Filing / Assembly & Pre-Polishing

Skilled artisans refine every detail through filing and assembly. Multiple components may be joined together seamlessly before undergoing pre-polishing—enhancing the surface so the brilliance of silver emerges even before stone setting.

Step 9 – Stone Setting (if applicable)

For silver jewellery accented with gemstones or zirconia, expert setters secure each stone with care. Whether it’s bezel, prong, or pave, the settings are designed to complement silver’s luminous character.

Step 10 – Polishing

Polishing is where silver truly comes alive. Multiple polishing stages—from tumbling to hand buffing—bring out its radiant, mirror-like finish, giving every piece that signature Everest glow.

Step 11 – Plating (Optional)

To enhance durability, some silver pieces undergo rhodium plating, adding extra resistance to tarnish and boosting brightness. Others are left in their natural sterling silver finish, admired for its authentic luster.

Step 12 – Quality Control

Every piece undergoes strict inspection for strength, finishing, and shine. At Everest Jewellery, quality control ensures that each silver creation meets our uncompromising standards before it reaches you.
